A proposal to impose a moratorium on all liquefied petroleum gas projects in Searsport, Maine, was voted down by residents during a town meeting Saturday. More than 460 residents attended the meeting and voted on the moratorium, which would have delayed DCP Midstream's plan to build a 138-foot tall LPG storage tank in the town. Residents argued that the project would generate new jobs and attract new businesses.
