A councilwoman in Montgomery County, Md., marked National School Breakfast Week -- organized by the School Nutrition Association -- by speaking about the importance of breakfast for students. Councilwoman Valerie Ervin, who issued a proclamation for the week, also highlighted programs the county is using to encourage more students to eat breakfast each day, such as a state program that allows all students to eat breakfast at their desks.
