New federal regulations regarding school meals could raise prices in some Mississippi school districts, officials say. Among the changes are new nutrition standards and a requirement that meal prices come in line with the federal reimbursement rate. "Usually when you go up in price, you lose some participation," said Danny Dillistone, director of child nutrition for the Petal School District, who added he could not yet comment on whether prices would go up.
