Data on more than 74,000 middle- and high-school students in Franklin County, Ohio, showed that students who were bullies or bully victims were more likely to use marijuana, smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol. Overall, fewer than 5% of middle-school students cited substance use, while among high-school students, 32% drank alcohol, 14% smoked cigarettes and 16% used marijuana, researchers reported in the journal Addictive Behaviors.
