The Securities and Exchange Commission has tried to compel Wells Fargo to turn over documents related to the bank's sales of mortgage-backed securities. The agency says it has issued several subpoenas over the past several months but that the bank has not turned over the requested documents. The bank defended itself in a regulatory filing. "Wells Fargo continues to provide information requested by the various agencies in connection with certain investigations," according to the filing.
