Howard Schultz, CEO of Starbucks, said the company will continue expanding beyond cafes and into retail, commenting, "We’re in the nascent stage of what we believe is our capability to do a number of things within food and beverage." Starbucks first took its products to supermarket shelves in 1995, and its retail offerings now include Via instant coffee and capsules for Keurig single-cup brewers.
