A kiosk that uses biometric identification will allow travelers participating in the Global Entry program to move more quickly through security checkpoints at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency is installing the kiosk, which scans passports and verifies fingerprints, and predicts it will reduce wait times by 70%. Travelers must pass a background check before they can participate in the program.
