Burger King is going public, and the company is going to franchise almost all of its restaurants, according to investor William Ackman. Ackman noted that other companies, including McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts and Domino's, have found success by relying on franchising. “I believe a meaningful percentage of McDonald’s same-store sales growth since 2006 has been driven by the process of putting [restaurants] in the hands of franchisees,” he said.
