Defense contractors say they are bracing for reductions to military spending, and warn that many jobs will be lost in the process. "We are vulnerable to any defense-spending cuts," said Robert Arrighi, general manager of Kerns Manufacturing in New York. "Anything that's dramatic like this is of significant impact to us." Arrighi and others say they may look to commercial work or global customers to help fill the gap.
