In a first for small-animal surgeon Milan Milovancev, a dog remained in position and unmoving for chest x-rays without being restrained or sedated. The dog, a 12-year-old border collie named Scottie, was rescued from an animal shelter 10 years ago by his owner, Brenda Cutting, whose training, in conjunction with Scottie's good nature and skills, helped him win several dog competition awards.
