ExxonMobil, Chevron and other energy majors have submitted their bids for the exploration of two shale natural gas fields in Ukraine, said Eduard Stavitsky, the country's Environment and Natural Resources minister. "The final decisions [will be announced] no later than ... May 23," he said. Ukraine ranks fourth in Europe in terms of shale-gas reserves, holding about 42 trillion cubic feet, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
