Data on more than 3,300 study participants ages 15 to 23 revealed that those youths who were better at recognizing fast-food television commercials -- shown with the brand names removed -- were more than twice as likely to be obese, compared with those who knew only a few. The findings were presented at the annual meeting of the Pediatric Academic Societies.
