Representatives of the Consumer Electronics Association and two retailer groups went to Capitol Hill this week to lay out the issues on sales taxes for Internet purchases. CEA now supports the collection of Internet sales taxes, which have become the law in 45 states. Leading the CEA delegation were Gary Shapiro, CEA's president and CEO, and Randy Fry, who serves as chairman of CEA and president of Fry's Electronics.
