More than one-quarter of video watching in U.S. households with broadband access is done on PCs, smartphones and tablet computers, according to Parks Associates. Tablet owners watch 36 minutes of video a week on their devices, the market-research firm reports. "One-third of U.S. broadband households streamed a TV show in the past 30 days, and these consumer viewing habits are raising expectations for new service offerings," said Brett Sappington, director of research with Parks Associates.
