A new iPad application for children with autism is meant to help users create visual scenes that are relevant to their current location and that allow them to practice social and communication skills. The app -- AutisMate -- was developed by Jonathan Izak, the older brother of a child with autism. "I found that parents and therapists felt the communication apps currently on the market were very limiting, over priced, and not user friendly," Izak said.
