A study in the Canadian Medical Association Journal found that sodium content of fast food varies by country. For example, a serving of McDonald's Chicken McNuggets contains 680 milligrams of sodium in Canada, 600 mg in the U.S. and 240 mg in the U.K. Researchers said voluntary salt-reduction targets in the U.K. could explain the reason sodium is lower there.
