Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics has bought solar panels and funded the construction of an outdoor pavilion for the Broad Meadow Brook Conservation Center and Wildlife Sanctuary in Worcester, Mass. The firm used $21,000 from its $28,000 fine for alleged pollution violations to purchase solar panels for the visitor center of the sanctuary. But the roof couldn't handle more panels, so the firm also funded construction of an outdoor pavilion as well.
