A Senate Appropriations subcommittee pushed forward a fiscal 2013 spending bill that includes $27.13 billion for the Department of Energy, up $1.38 billion from fiscal 2012. Among other things, the bill would boost funding for the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy to $312 million, up $37 million from fiscal 2012. The Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy would get $1.98 billion, up $160 million from the year-before levels.
