The American Hotel & Lodging Association and several advocate groups for the disabled community have agreed to meet over the issue of new pool-lift requirements for hotels under the updated Americans with Disabilities Act. The meeting follows a hotel boycott instigated by four disability-rights groups in protest of hoteliers' stand on the new requirements. "If the disability advocates are at long last willing to finally negotiate in good faith, we will listen to what has changed in their position. Unfortunately, they have been unwilling to acknowledge our industry concerns," said Rickey Dana, a spokesman for AH&LA.
