Type 2 diabetes patients were 60% more likely to develop a urinary tract infection than those without diabetes, according to a U.K. study in the Journal of Diabetes and its Complications. Researchers found the incidence of UTI among diabetes patients was 46.9 per 1,000 person-years, compared with 29.9 in those who do not have the disease.
