Vice President Joe Biden and Republican challenger Paul Ryan will meet in Danville, Ky., tonight for a much-hyped debate that could set the tenor for the closing weeks of the presidential race. With President Barack Obama trailing in some national polls, Biden will be under pressure to land solid punches on Ryan, who in turn will need to defend his own budget and Medicare plan without distracting from Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's own proposals. That will require both men to blend aggression with humility, analysts say, attacking their opponents without stealing their running mates' thunder.
