The Colorado State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory processes some 500,000 tests per year, identifying diseases that can harm animals and humans, such as anthrax, avian influenza, rabies and West Nile virus. Organizations including the CDC and the U.S. Department of Agriculture rely on the lab to provide accurate and timely results to prevent the spread of zoonotic pathogens.
