Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said the country faces dire consequences if it doesn't bolster its cybersecurity efforts, warning that an attack on the nation's power grid could be "life-threatening." Napolitano said the Obama administration has responded to the threat environment by boosting investment in Department of Homeland Security cyber programs and expanding the agency's workforce, but she called a presidential executive order an inadequate substitute for cybersecurity legislation.
