Air Canada is urging travelers to and from the U.S. to carry a passport, even if they have a Nexus card that signifies they have been pre-screened. American Airlines, Delta and US Airways say fliers need a passport to board their flights to and from Canada.
At the request of travel-agent groups, the Department of Transportation is considering a measure that would require airlines to provide information on ancillary services and related fees that come with each fare to third-party ticket distribution agencies, commonly referred to as global distribution systems. Airlines don't now provide that information through GDSs.
