Omni Hotels & Resorts is placing its focus on U.S. markets as it aims to double its portfolio of 50 hotels, said Mike Garcia, chief financial officer and a senior vice president at the company. "We also considered expanding outside the U.S., but our focus is to fill in the gaps in the U.S. and pursue the opportunities that are currently available," Garcia said. He named Miami, Seattle and Phoenix/Scottsdale as targets for growth.
