Negotiating teams representing United Continental Holdings and the airline's pilots union have reached a tentative labor agreement in what is considered one of the final steps to integrate United Airlines and Continental Airlines. Pilots will vote whether to approve the proposed contract, which a statement from union officials said would "provide gains in compensation, work rules, job protections, and retirement and benefits for our pilots and their families." The airlines merged in 2010.
