Flight attendants for US Airways have voted to strike as soon as legally permitted to do so, according to the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA. The union will not be released to strike by the National Mediation Board unless further NMB-facilitated negotiations fail to produce a contract the union will approve. "[T]he strike vote is about positioning at the bargaining table and not about striking," an airline spokesman said in a statement.
