President Barack Obama's victory in Tuesday's election turns the focus to his education agenda for the second term. While education was not a central theme in the contest with his Republican challenger Mitt Romney, Obama has pledged to recruit and train 100,000 new math and science teachers and offer post-secondary institutions a chance to compete for Race to the Top funds. It is unclear whether he will receive support from Congress for his proposals.
