Two-thirds of social activity related to television still occurs the old-fashioned way, via talking to someone else in the same room, according to a Nielsen survey for CTAM. At 31%, texting is approaching telephone conversations (37%) as a means of communicating about TV, and 29% post comments on Facebook. The CTAM survey indicates that more than 8 in 10 people hold conversations about television the day after a program airs -- or later -- and that live sports gathers the largest audience on in-show conversation.
