Individual food trucks and the New York Food Truck Association were a vital part of post-Sandy rescue efforts in and around the city, with 32 trucks serving about 500 hot meals apiece each day in partnership with the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, writes fund president Megan Sheekey.
