Men are more likely to pin items they either already own or have specific plans to buy, while women use the site to get ideas for future purchases. "Women are using Pinterest in a far more aspirational and motivational way than are men, who are more likely to use Pinterest like a visual bookmarking tool," Jay Baer writes.
