Tim Griffin and Hui-Ying Lim, two research scientists with the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, have won a total of nearly $480,000 in research grants. Griffin will use a two-year, $200,000 Arthritis Foundation grant to explore how exercise affects knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. And Lim, with the help of a $280,000 grant from the American Heart Association, will study how communication among various heart cells help the heart function.
