Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine was awarded a $6 million gift from the Starr Foundation, a group that supports health research. The money will support two new research faculty positions, according to the school's dean, veterinarian Michael Kotlikoff. "The [professorships] will allow the college to recruit and retain some of the most respected minds in veterinary science, people who will drive the development of new treatments, vaccines and therapies," Dr. Kotlikoff said in a news release.
