A corporate focus on sustainability yields bottom-line savings and top-line growth through the development of new products and applications, said Neil C. Hawkins, sustainability chief at Dow Chemical. Energy efficiency has brought Dow $25.4 billion in savings since 1990, while the company's 2015 Sustainability Goals could produce more than $1 billion in additional savings, Hawkins said. "I think all companies are very focused on how to grow their top line and their bottom line, and I think virtually all companies recognize the benefits of maintaining their sustainability trend," he said.
