U.S. Internet users are more likely to discuss TV programming with people in the same room or via text or phone than via Facebook or other social tools, a Nielsen study found. However, almost half of people using online tools to discover shows found out about programs via Facebook, while Twitter accounted for 14% of TV discoveries, TV-show websites totaled 9% and forums or discussion boards accounted for 8%.
