Georgia's Board of Regents is expected to assign an additional $16.4 million to a project that will update the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine facilities with a new teaching hospital and other additions. The total budget is projected to be $98 million and will be met with a combination of donations and public funds. The school's community clinic will not be relocated, contrary to original plans, but otherwise, the proposal "restores the project to what was originally envisioned," said dean and veterinarian Sheila Allen.
