Research In Motion continues to ride a resurgent wave the week before it is scheduled to introduce the BlackBerry 10 operating system. The company received 19,000 applications from developers over the weekend -- that's on top of the 15,000 the previous week -- which led RIM to extend its app submission deadline to Feb. 18 as part of a developer incentive program. Separately, a Byron Capital Markets analyst praised RIM and CEO Thorsten Heins for executing "very strongly" on the launch of BB 10 as well as for the company's strong balance sheet.
