Eighth-grade students at Indian River School in West Canaan, N.H., have created a large mural on a wall of their school featuring the plants, animals and geographical features of the Mascoma River watershed, which has been a farming region for many years and is home to the school. "Basically we wanted to teach the students what a watershed was and what are the connections to their lives within the watershed," said science teacher Paul Dunne.
