The New York School Nutrition Association recently hosted a seminar in which school nutrition professionals from about 98 schools were invited to taste dishes that could be served in school cafeterias. The nutrition professionals said they were looking for meals that tasted good and were compatible with new federal meal standards. "We're always looking at what's new, innovative out there that the kids will enjoy and is kid friendly, healthy, nutritious and it also meets regulations," Karen Bronson-Clark, foodservice director, said.
