A majority of legislators in St. Lawrence County, N.Y., have agreed to work with the county's economic and tourism authorities and other officials toward the goal of hosting a casino in the county. The move came after New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said during his State of the State address last week that his plan to expand gambling in the state includes placing three casinos upstate. "The governor hasn't been specific in what we need to do. The more we have involved, the better," said Legislator Vernon D. "Sam" Burns.
