Data released by STR show that U.S. hotels improved in all key industry metrics in 2012. Total revenue per available room during the year rose 6.8%, occupancy climbed 2.5%, and average daily rate increased by 4.2%, STR reports. "While the industry's resolve will continue to be tested with pockets of uncertainty, we anticipate continued growth in all industry performance metrics for 2013," said Brad Garner, chief operating officer of STR.
