All dentists have computers in their offices, about three-quarters use computers clinically, and practitioners are increasingly using electronic dental records, according to research published in the Journal of the American Dental Association. But only 44.4% said they were willing to use electronic record data for quality improvement and research. "There is a lot of knowledge and wisdom in the data, and we need to find good ways to mine that," said researcher and dentist Titus Schleyer.
