U.S. nutrition-labeling rules expected to change

The Regulatory Information Service Center, a unit of the U.S. General Services Administration, has released the latest Current Regulatory Plan and the Unified Agenda of Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions, a semi-annual compilation of federal agencies' plans for new regulations. According to the Unified Agenda, the Food and Drug Administration is planning to issue Notices of Proposed Rulemakings regarding nutrition labeling and serving sizes in the first quarter of 2013.
