Utah state leaders have launched the "Prosperity 2020" initiative, which seeks to have at least two-thirds of all adults in Utah earn a post-secondary degree or certificate by 2020. In addition, the proposal calls for the Salt Lake City area to be a Top-10 market for technology and business. As part of the plan, $43.6 million is being earmarked for items such as computer-adaptive testing, programs for at-risk children and enhanced science, technology, engineering and math programs in schools.
