If Flower Foods wins its bid to acquire Wonder Bread and other bread brands from the bankrupt Hostess Brands, it will have to invest considerable sums in the brand, said Euromonitor research analyst Matthew Hudak. "Strategy moving forward will have to hinge on brand equity, which is the best thing going for it by a long shot," said Hudak, who added that exploring international markets or appealing to American customers who remember Wonder Bread from their childhood could be smart strategies.
