The American Chemistry Council is educating members on the challenges and state of chemical risk assessment while advocating for improvements to the Integrated Risk Information System. "By spending more time upfront designing the assessment correctly, it will be more efficient and effective and will better inform the risk management decision that needs to be made. That investment upfront will cut down on the time at the back-end to fix something that started out the wrong way," says Rick Becker of ACC.
