The Bonita Springs, Fla., City Council has passed a zoning change for a 3.5-acre development to allow as many as 50 townhouses. The original zoning required 27,000 square feet of commercial space, in addition to an existing 23,000, but there is an abundance of commercial space nearby. "There's not a strong demand for commercial on this property," said Alexis Crespo, a consultant for the property owner.
