Black children were more likely to be sensitized to a food allergen or an environmental allergen compared with white children, a study of more than 500 2-year-olds found. Researchers noted that black children born to an allergic parent had a greater sensitization to an environmental allergen than peers without an allergic parent. The findings were presented at the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology meeting.
