Dave Butters, the county's asset manager, said the idea of using propane autogas was first met with skepticism, as the fuel was a relative unknown, but as the county experienced the fuel's power, more fleet operators turned to the fuel. "The dark horse is propane. It has a lot going for it," Butters said.
