BlackBerry will begin a campaign this week to promote its new Z10 smartphone via a "takeover" campaign in which its ads would fill the displays of iPhone and Android devices -- providing users tap on a BlackBerry link, said Chief Marketing Officer Frank Boulben. The link would convert into a simulation of the BlackBerry 10 operating system in an effort to show users what they could gain by switching phones. Meanwhile, it was revealed that longtime BlackBerry distributor Brightstar ordered 1 million Z10 phones earlier this month.
